Q1 2021: Performance of Top Lifestyle Apps on Android in the UK

In the first quarter of 2021, the UK's Android platform saw varying performances among the top lifestyle applications. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into these trends, showcasing how each app fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Tesco Clubcard downloads started strong with 46K in the first week of January, peaking at 61K in late March. The app's weekly active users reflected a rising trend, beginning at 442K and growing to approximately 500K by the end of the quarter.

Pinterest, a popular app for creative ideas and inspiration, showed a slight decrease in downloads from 31K to 23K over the quarter. However, weekly active users remained robust, starting at 2.7M and experiencing a slight increase to 2.9M.

Amazon Alexa, the virtual assistant from Amazon, had a high of 119K downloads at the end of December, which then normalized to approximately 23K by the end of March. The weekly active users for Alexa saw a small dip from 986K to 853K throughout the quarter.

Nectar – Collect & Spend points showed an interesting spike in downloads mid-February with 59K, a notable increase from the 11K at the start of the observed period. Weekly active users reached a high of 332K in late February before settling down to 257K by the quarter's end.

Evri displayed a steady performance with downloads ranging from 30K at the beginning of the quarter to 19K in the final week. Active users peaked at 108K in mid-January and saw a slight decline to 94K by March's close.
