Q1 2021 Performance of Top Insurance Apps on Android in the US

As the first quarter of 2021 has wrapped up, we've observed notable trends in the insurance app sector on the Android platform within the United States. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, delivers a snapshot of the performance of the top five insurance applications based on downloads and weekly active users.
Progressive saw a steady increase in downloads starting from around 38K in the last week of December 2020 to a peak of approximately 57K in mid-March 2021. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, moving from 483K to over 518K during the quarter.
The GEICO Mobile - Car Insurance app experienced a fluctuation in downloads, with an initial increase to nearly 40K in the first week of January, followed by a dip and then a rise back to 46K in mid-March. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at 502K in the second week of January and then stabilizing around 476K by the end of March.
Drive Safe & Save™ by State Farm Insurance displayed a significant surge in downloads in the second week of January, reaching 39K, but saw a gradual decrease to 25K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users, however, remained relatively high, with the numbers hovering around 899K in January and settling at 857K by the quarter's end.
The State Farm® app showed a consistent level of downloads throughout the quarter, with a slight peak at 27K in late February. The weekly active users experienced a modest increase from around 183K at the beginning of the quarter to 194K in late February, before slightly decreasing to 177K.
Lastly, Allstate Mobile witnessed its downloads peak at 22K in early February but then saw a decline to 15K by the end of March. Active users peaked at 422K in the second week of January and demonstrated a slight decrease to 396K by the close of Q1.
