The insurance app market is a competitive and dynamic space, and understanding how top players perform is essential. Data provided by Sensor Tower sheds light on the top five insurance applications for Android users in the UK during the first quarter of 2021.

Starting with Hastings Direct Insurance, the app witnessed a significant increase in downloads, jumping from around 4K in the last week of December to a peak of over 15K by late March. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, escalating from around 10K to over 23K in the same period.

Meanwhile, Cuvva saw a slight decline in downloads, starting at approximately 5K and dipping to around 3K by the end of March. Active users also decreased slightly from just under 10K to just over 7K throughout the quarter.

The Admiral Insurance app experienced fluctuating download numbers, with a notable spike to over 5K in mid-January, followed by a gradual increase to nearly 5K towards the end of March. Weekly active users saw a steady increase, from approximately 16K to over 20K by the quarter's end.
