Q1 2021 Recap: Top 5 Apparel Apps on Android in Europe

In the first quarter of 2021, several apparel applications stood out in the Android market across Europe. Utilizing data provided by Sensor Tower, we have observed notable trends in downloads and weekly active users for the top five applications in this category.

SHEIN-Shopping Online has shown a consistent upward trend in downloads, starting the quarter with 425K and peaking at 659K in mid-March before settling at 622K by the end of March. Active users also saw a significant rise, from 4.8M at the beginning of the period to a high of 9.8M in mid-March, ending the quarter with 9.4M weekly active users.

Vinted - Buy and sell clothes experienced a spike in downloads during the first week of January, reaching 408K, and then fluctuated throughout the quarter, concluding with 376K downloads in the last week of March. The weekly active users showed a gradual increase from 2.7M to 3.4M over the same period.

Trendyol - Online Alışveriş reached its download peak in early February with 372K, followed by a downward trend to 181K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a more stable pattern, starting at 12.8M and reaching a high of nearly 15M in early March before slightly decreasing to 14.3M.

Zalando – online fashion store maintained a steady download count, beginning at 218K and ending the quarter with 175K. Active users saw a more positive trajectory, increasing from 2.8M to 3.3M over the course of the quarter.

Finally, H&M - we love fashion showed relatively consistent download numbers, hovering around 150K throughout the quarter, with a noticeable increase to 183K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users saw a steady rise from just over 3.1M to 3.7M by mid-March, before slightly dropping to 3.7M at the quarter's end.
