Top 5 Utilities Apps in Latin America Q4 2020: A Sensor Tower Report

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Latin America saw significant activity in the Utilities category within the unified mobile app platform. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the trends and numbers of the top-performing utilities applications during this period.

Google Chrome, published by Google LLC, experienced a slight decrease in downloads, starting the quarter with 169K and ending with 150K. However, weekly active users showed an overall increase from 257M to 268M, indicating a growing user base despite the download trends.

Another app from Google LLC, simply known as Google, also saw a slight dip in downloads from 210K to 190K by the end of the quarter. The weekly active users for Google fluctuated, peaking at 166M in mid-quarter before settling at 161M.

Sticker.ly - Sticker Maker, by SNOW INC., showed an impressive increase in downloads, with numbers rising from 810K to 958K. The app's weekly active users also saw a peak of 15M in the middle of the quarter before stabilizing around 12M.

The app e-Título, from the Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, had a notable surge in downloads, jumping from 168K to a peak of over 1M in early November, before descending to 66K by the end of December. Its weekly active users mirrored this trend with a significant peak of 11M also in early November, then falling to 464K.

Lastly, Carteira Digital de Trânsito published by Servicos e Informacoes do Brasil, showed a steady performance in downloads, maintaining around 400K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users saw a gradual increase from 2.2M to 2.5M by the quarter's end.
