In the final quarter of 2020, Europe saw substantial activity across major shopping applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers a clear view of how these apps performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Wish: Shop and Save experienced a surge in downloads, starting at approximately 593K in the last week of September and peaking at over 1.1M in late November. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, rising from around 12.2M to a high of over 17.3M before declining to about 13.3M by year-end.

Amazon also showed a strong performance, with downloads initially at 577K and reaching nearly 1.1M in the week before Christmas. The app's weekly active users grew from approximately 26.8M to over 31.8M in late November, maintaining a user base above 30M for the rest of the quarter.

The AliExpress Shopping App saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at around 694K, spiking to over 1.3M in early November, and then stabilizing around 778K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed robust growth, increasing from about 25.3M to a peak of 37.5M before settling at around 29.6M.

SHEIN - Shopping Online maintained steady download figures, commencing the quarter with 672K and concluding with 693K. The app's weekly active users saw a high of over 11.3M in late November, ultimately ending the year with close to 9.2M active users.

Lastly, Lidl Plus started the quarter with strong downloads at 809K but witnessed a decline to 352K by the end of December. The weekly active users for Lidl Plus peaked at over 6.2M in late October and experienced a slight decrease to approximately 5.7M by the close of the year.
