As the year 2020 came to a close, the Lifestyle category in France saw interesting movements in terms of app downloads and weekly active users. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at how the top apps fared in the fourth quarter.
Pinterest experienced a fluctuating download trend starting at 106K in the last week of September and dipping to 83K in mid-December, before surging to 132K just before Christmas. Weekly active users ranged from 6.6M to 7.7M, peaking in late October.
Google Home displayed a similar pattern, with downloads initially at 56K and dipping to 43K in mid-October, then experiencing a significant jump to 206K in the week leading up to Christmas. Active users showed an upward trend from 556K to 714K by the end of December.
For Caf - Mon Compte, downloads began at 78K and saw a decline to 47K in late October, followed by a gradual increase to 74K by the year's end. Weekly active users saw a high of 1.3M in late November, with a noticeable drop to 726K in the third week of December, before rising again to 1.2M.
Amazon Alexa downloads showed more volatility, starting at 12K, peaking at 27K in mid-October, and then spiking to 83K in the week of Christmas. Active user numbers for Alexa showed a steady increase from 199K to 307K over the quarter.
Lastly, Cash’em All: Play & Win had a quieter quarter with downloads starting at 25K and ending at 37K in the final week of 2020. Weekly active users exhibited growth from 34K to 68K, indicating a strong end to the year for the app.
