In the fourth quarter of 2020, Latin America's book application market saw diverse trends across the top five apps on the unified platform. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at these trends, showcasing the performance of each app in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories experienced a steady increase in both downloads, rising from 122K in the last week of September to over 202K by the end of December. Weekly active users also saw growth, starting at 4.47M and reaching 5.75M in the same period. The revenue peaked in late November at approximately $9.7K, with a slight decrease afterward, ending the quarter at around $7.4K.

Amazon Kindle, despite not generating direct revenue through the app, maintained strong download numbers, beginning the quarter with 63K downloads and spiking to 93K by the year's end. Weekly active users reflected a high level of engagement, starting at 1.89M and peaking at 2.15M in mid-October, before closing the quarter at around 2.02M.

Storytel: Audiobooks & Ebooks showed fluctuations in revenue throughout the quarter, with a starting point of about $31K, a dip to $26K in early December, and a slight recovery to nearly $28K by the end of December. Downloads saw a dip in October but recovered to 41K by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users ranged from 250K in late September to approximately 235K at the end of December.

For A Bíblia Sagrada, revenue was relatively low, with the highest point at $97 in late November and the end of December. The app's downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight increase to nearly 10K in the final week of the year. Weekly active users showed a slight decrease from 93K to 80K over the quarter.

Lastly, Manga Dogs - webtoon reader saw a gradual increase in revenue, from $365 to $605 by the end of the quarter. Downloads experienced growth, starting at 4.4K and reaching 6.7K in the final week. The weekly active users also grew, from 48K to almost 60K, indicating a solid user base.
