Q4 2020 Performance of Top Utilities Apps on iOS in Europe

As the year 2020 ended, Sensor Tower provides insights into the top-performing Utilities applications on the iOS platform in Europe for the fourth quarter. The following apps have shown varying trends in downloads and weekly active users.

Google Chrome maintained a steady increase in downloads throughout Q4, starting from approximately 296K in the last week of September to about 380K by the end of December. The browser also saw a rise in weekly active users, peaking at over 18M in November before slightly declining to around 18M by the year's end.

Google experienced a significant uptick in downloads during Q4, with numbers soaring from 271K to roughly 460K. Interestingly, the weekly active users for Google fluctuated, with a peak of over 14M in late November, and a slight decrease to approximately 14M active users by the close of December.

Fonts not only saw an increase in downloads, from 103K to nearly 139K, but also a notable rise in revenue, ending the quarter at around $19K. The app's weekly active users grew substantially, from about 460K to over 565K, indicating a strong user engagement during the quarter.

Color Widgets began the quarter with high download numbers at 342K but experienced a decline to 75K by the end of December. Despite the decrease in downloads, revenue saw a slight increase, ending the quarter at approximately $4K. The app's weekly active users also witnessed a downward trend, from 728K to around 488K.

Microsoft Edge: AI Browser showed a varied download pattern, with an initial increase to 117K, a mid-quarter dip, and a late spike to 129K before closing the quarter at around 87K downloads. The browser's weekly active users had a positive trajectory, growing from 1.4M to over 1.4M by year-end.
