Top 5 Utilities Apps on iOS in the UK: Q4 2020 Performance Snapshot

As the fourth quarter of 2020 came to a close, we observed notable trends in the Utilities category on the iOS platform within the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how the top applications in this segment performed during this period.

NordVPN: VPN Fast & Secure saw a dip in revenue from $44K in late November to $29K at the end of December. Downloads for the app fluctuated, peaking at 16K in late November before settling at 13K by the year's end. The weekly active users (WAU) showed an uptick from 88K in mid-December to 92K in the final week of 2020.

Moving on to QR Code Reader ·, the app's revenue climbed slightly from $13K at the start of the quarter to $14K by December's end. The download numbers saw a significant jump, rising from 16K in mid-October to 22K during the week of Christmas before descending to 15K. The WAU saw a high of 58K in late December after a period of decline in early November.

Screen Mirroring Z - Miracast from EVOLLY.APP, based in Israel, experienced an increase in revenue, starting the quarter at $9K and ending at $16K. Downloads also increased, from 9K in the last week of September to 15K at the end of December, and the app's WAU grew from 9K to 15K during the same period.

For McAfee Security & Wifi Privacy, revenues were fairly stable, with a slight increase from $6K to $7K over the quarter. Lastly, G-VPN - Unlimited Security experienced a decline in revenue, from $8.6K at the beginning of the quarter to $4.6K by the end. Unfortunately, there was no data on downloads or WAU for this application.
