Q4 2020 Performance of Top iOS Shopping Apps in the UK

As the year 2020 came to a close, the iOS platform saw significant activity in the shopping category within the UK region. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers us a glimpse into the performance of the top shopping applications during the fourth quarter.

Shpock: Buy & Sell Marketplace experienced a decrease in both revenue and downloads as the quarter progressed, with revenue dropping from $9K in the last week of September to $7K in the final week of December. Downloads followed a similar downward trend, from 23K in the last week of September to 21K in the final week of December. Weekly active users also saw a decline, from 225K to 194K in the same period.

Buy and sell - Marketplace showed fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $2.6K in early November before falling to $1.7K by year's end. The app's downloads saw a considerable drop from 1.2K to 800, and active users decreased from 1.2K in late September to 856 in late December.

HotStock - in-stock alerts had a remarkable surge in revenue from a mere $22 to $938 by the end of the quarter, with downloads skyrocketing from 59 to 3.4K. Weekly active users mirrored this growth, escalating from 179 to over 13K.

Data for Which? shows a revenue increase from $714 to $371 throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 939 in mid-November, then settled to 548 by the end of December. Weekly active users data was not available for this application.

Lastly, Alfred Home Security Camera observed a rise in revenue from $415 to $530 over the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 467 to 391. Active users showed a modest increase, from 3.2K to 3.1K.
