Top 5 iOS MOBA Apps Performance in Europe Q4 2020

As the year 2020 came to a close, the MOBA genre on iOS devices continued to engage players across Europe. Sensor Tower provides a look into how the top five MOBA applications performed in the final quarter of the year.

Supercell's Brawl Stars, hailing from Finland, showed a strong performance with a significant increase in weekly active users, from 3.7M in late September to over 4M towards the end of December. The game's revenue peaked at $3.35M during the week of December 21, while downloads surged to 253K in the same period.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang by Shanghai Moonton Technology saw a steady climb in revenue, reaching $408K in the week of November 9, and maintained a consistent download rate around 40K weekly. The active user base hovered above 400K throughout the quarter.

Riot Games' newly released League of Legends: Wild Rift made a splash in the MOBA scene with an impressive 1.98M downloads in its first tracked week. Revenue for the game showed an upward trend, starting at $150K and peaking at over $200K mid-December. The weekly active users count was highest at 1.59M in the second week of December.

Arena of Valor, published by Level Infinite, had modest numbers with weekly revenues reaching up to $38K and downloads peaking at 3.5K. The active user base showed a slight decline, ending the quarter with around 14.6K weekly active users.

Highcore Labs LLC's Tanks a Lot - War of Machines experienced its highest revenue of $5.9K in the week of December 21. Downloads for the game saw a peak of 3.4K in mid-December, and the weekly active users increased from 7.2K at the start of the quarter to a high of 11.2K in mid-December.
