Q4 2020 Performance of Top iOS MMORPGs in Latin America

The MMORPG genre continues to be a staple of mobile gaming, and Sensor Tower's data provides us with an overview of how the top MMORPGs fared on the iOS platform in Latin America during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Starting with Forsaken World:Gods and Demons, we saw a significant initial spike in downloads, hitting 12K in mid-November, which tapered off to 503K by the end of December. Weekly active users peaked at around 10K in the same month, before settling at 3.3K. Revenue followed a similar early peak, reaching $3.5K in late November but then declining to under $1K by the year's end.

Pearl Abyss Corp.'s Black Desert Mobile showed more stable revenue numbers throughout the quarter, with a notable increase to $2.4K in the week of December 21st. Downloads saw a rise in early December, hitting over 4K, while weekly active users demonstrated a steady increase, reaching over 11K by the end of December.

NetEase Games' EVE Echoes experienced a high in downloads in mid-October at over 6K, but this number had decreased to 541 by the end of December. Active users peaked at around 5.2K in the same period but showed a slight uptick to 1.5K towards the end of the quarter. Revenue figures were more modest, with the highest at $1.4K in mid-October and ending the quarter at $553.

School of Dragons by Knowledge Adventure saw its revenue soar to $2.7K in the week of December 21st. Downloads and weekly active users both experienced a steady increase during the quarter, with downloads peaking at 840 and active users reaching nearly 4K by late December.

Lastly, 4399TH's Mega Heroes launched in early November and saw a strong start with downloads at 3.4K and revenue at $3K in the release week. However, both metrics saw a decline throughout the quarter, with downloads falling to 70 and revenue to a mere $167 by the end of December.
