As the year 2020 came to a close, the dating scene on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom saw a range of performances from leading dating apps. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into user engagement and app popularity during the fourth quarter.

Tinder: Chat, Dating & Friends, a frontrunner in the digital dating world, saw its revenue peak in mid-November at nearly $890K before declining to around $570K by year-end. Downloads hit a high of over 31K in mid-October and tapered off to approximately 26K by the last week of December. Weekly active users started strong at 1.18M but saw a downtrend, ending the quarter at around 968K.

Bumble: Dating & Friends App experienced a revenue high in the last week of December, reaching over $247K, with a low of $202K in the same period. Downloads for Bumble peaked at nearly 18K in late November, while active users saw a high of 339K in early October, with a slight decline to around 296K by the end of December.

Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends, based in the UK, had its revenue fluctuate, with a high of over $160K in late September and a low of $117K at the year's end. Downloads showed a similar pattern, with a peak of over 13K in early November and a drop to around 8K by the close of the quarter. Active users were relatively stable, starting at around 222K and ending at approximately 224K.

The Hinge Dating App: Match & Date saw revenue rise towards the end of the quarter, hitting over $126K in late December, with downloads reaching a high of over 15K in late October. Active users peaked at nearly 289K in late October but decreased to approximately 257K by the end of December.

Lastly, Plenty of Fish Dating App showed a revenue high of $115K in late September, dipping to around $91K by the year's end. Downloads were highest in early November at 10K and fell to around 8K by the close of December. Active users saw a slight drop from 114K at the start of the quarter to around 102K in the last week.
