As the year 2020 drew to a close, book lovers in Latin America turned to their iOS devices for reading and storytelling, with several applications showing noteworthy activity. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 books applications during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories experienced a positive trend in both downloads and weekly active users, with downloads peaking at around 35K in the last week of December. Weekly active users showed a consistent growth, reaching over 1.3M by the end of the quarter.

Amazon Kindle, despite not generating revenue through the app in this period, saw a substantial increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, hitting nearly 25K in the final week. The number of weekly active users also showed an upward trajectory, with a rise to approximately 376K in the last week of December.

Storytel: Audiobooks & Ebooks revealed a fluctuating pattern in downloads, but the app finished strong with over 7K downloads in the last week of December. Active users dipped slightly during the quarter but recovered to around 49K by the year's end.

Manga Dogs - webtoon reader demonstrated an increase in both revenue, reaching a peak of $629 in the third week of December, and downloads, with a high of approximately 7K in the same period. The app's weekly active users saw a gradual increase, ending the quarter with nearly 60K active users.

Bible for Women & Daily Study maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with a noticeable jump to over 5K downloads in the final week. Its weekly active users also exhibited growth, concluding the quarter with over 7K users.
