Q4 2020 UK Android App Insights: Top 5 Lifestyle Apps

In the final quarter of 2020, the UK's Android lifestyle apps saw varied trends in user engagement and downloads. According to Sensor Tower data, here's how the top apps fared.

Tesco Clubcard experienced a decrease in downloads, from 75K in the first week of the quarter to 40K by the end. However, weekly active users showed a more stable trend, starting at 367K and ending the quarter with 442K active users.

Amazon Alexa had a significant download surge in the week of December 21, reaching nearly 200K downloads, compared to the 22K at the beginning of October. Active users peaked in the same week with over 1M users, though there was a slight dip to 986K active users by year's end.

Evri downloads peaked in late November with 46K, up from 23K at the start of Q4. Weekly active users also saw a peak of 122K in late November but dropped to 104K by the close of December.

Google Home showed an interesting download pattern, with a notable jump to 63K in the week leading up to Christmas. Active users rose steadily over the quarter from 284K to 340K in the pre-Christmas week, stabilizing at 340K in the final week of December.

Lastly, Pinterest maintained a fairly consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with a slight increase from 28K to 31K between the start and end of Q4. Active users saw a gradual increase, starting at 2.4M and reaching 2.7M by the end of the year.
