Q4 2020 Performance of Top Dating Apps on Android in Europe

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Europe's Android users showed their preference for social connections through various dating applications. Data from Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into how these apps performed during this period.

Badoo: Dating. Chat. Meet. maintained strong performance, with downloads peaking at 300 thousand in the final week of December after a low of 220 thousand mid-December. Weekly active users started at over 7 million but saw a slight decline to just over 7 million by year's end, indicating a stable user base.

Tinder Dating app. Meet People also saw a significant number of downloads, reaching over 200 thousand in early October and ending the quarter with a similar peak. Active users for Tinder started at around 8.5 million and dipped to approximately 7.8 million before rebounding to over 8 million towards the close of the year.

Azar - video chat & livestream experienced fluctuating revenue but ended the quarter on a high note with approximately 400 thousand. Downloads for the app remained fairly consistent, with a peak at 160 thousand in mid-October. The weekly active users hovered around 1.3 million, showing a modest decline by the end of Q4.

OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative showed an upward trend in both revenue and downloads, ending the quarter with over 50 thousand in revenue and nearly 230 thousand downloads. Active users reflected this growth, starting at 200 thousand and surging to nearly 600 thousand by the end of December.

Chatruletka – Video Chat also saw steady growth in revenue, ending the year with over 10 thousand. Their downloads showed an impressive increase from 90 thousand to over 130 thousand, while active users grew from approximately 290 thousand to just under 400 thousand.
