In the final quarter of 2020, the automotive app category saw varied performance among top players in the United Kingdom on the Android platform. Sensor Tower's data offers a snapshot into the downloads, revenue, and active user trends for these leading applications.

Carista OBD2 maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting with 242K at the beginning of Q4 and peaking at 406K in the last week of December. The app also experienced a rise in weekly active users, growing from 510K to 612K over the same period.

Carly — OBD2 car scanner showed fluctuations in its weekly revenue, with a notable peak of $5K in late November. The app’s downloads saw a consistent level of interest from users, with a high of 434K downloads in one week of November. Weekly active users demonstrated growth, ending the quarter at 385K from an initial 264K.

For Vehicle Smart - Car Check, downloads remained relatively stable, with a significant jump to 1.29M in the final week of December. The weekly active user count for Vehicle Smart ended on a high note, reaching 3.89M, up from 3.86M at the start of Q4.
