Q4 2020 Performance of Top Auto Apps on Android in France

As the year 2020 came to a close, the auto application sector on Android devices witnessed various trends in France. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the performance of the top auto apps during the fourth quarter.

EOBD Facile: OBD 2 Car Scanner by Outils OBD Facile ended the year with a slight decrease in weekly active users, from 2.6K in late September to approximately 2.4K by the end of December. Downloads for the app fluctuated, peaking at nearly 1K in late October and dipping to around 723 in the last week of December. Revenue showed a more positive trend, rising from $2.4K in the final week of September to $2.5K at the year's end.

Carly — OBD2 car scanner, developed by Carly Solutions GmbH & Co KG, saw its revenue peak at $3.5K during the week of November 30th, with weekly active users reaching a high of 381 in the same month. Downloads for Carly had a high in early November at 318 but saw a decline to 185 by the final week of December.

From SG Software GmbH & Co. KG, BimmerCode for BMW and MINI experienced a revenue increase from $45 in late September to a notable $638 in the last week of December. Downloads and weekly active users for the app showed a stable trend, with downloads hovering around 132 and active users at 197 in the final week of December.

ETM Permis Code Moto - A A1 A2 by CodeCoDoc, despite not having data on weekly active users, showed a decline in revenue from $505 in late September to just $68 by the end of December. The app's downloads also decreased during the quarter, from 707 to 455.

Lastly, Gas Now - Prices comparator, from 03 July Apps Creator, had a significant increase in weekly active users, from 4.2K in late September to over 3.8K by the year's end. The app's downloads saw a substantial rise to 870 in the last week of December, up from 693 at the beginning of the quarter. Revenue figures remained modest, with a slight increase from $98 to $111 in the same period.
